PicSearch ... filtered web crawler that attempts to provide "family friendly" images.
Picture Station ... over 5000 pictures.
United Streaming ... (requires subscription login) search for a topic and look for images or clipart in addition to video clips.
Young Oxford Illustrated Science Encyclopedia ... select pictures of plants, animals, humans, earth, atoms/molecules, energy/forces, light/sound, computers, inventions, transport and space/astronomy.

Animals

Antarctic ... images from the NOAA Photo Library of Antarctica including ice flows, outposts, whalers, explorers, scientists, and animals.
Coral Kingdom ... images from the NOAA Photo Library including life under the Caribbean Sea, Florida Reef, Pacific Reef, and Red Sea Reefs.
Fish and Wildlife ... collection of images maintained by the U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service. Most images are copyright free, however, a few require permission for use.
Images for Learning ... over 170 images free to use including animals, fish, flowers, insects, plants, sky, snow, trees and water.
NOAA's Ark ... images of marine mammals, birds and other animals from the NOAA Photo Library.
Pet Professor ... free pictures of pets and animals. Also includes food, landscapes (mountains, water, nature) and plants.
Sanctuaries ... images from the NOAA Photo Library of marine sanctuaries for both flora an fauna under and around the seas.

America's Coastlines ... images from the NOAA Photo Library of U.S. coastlines from Alaska to Hawaii to the West and East coasts.
Antarctic ... images from the NOAA Photo Library of Antarctica including ice flows, outposts, whalers, explorers, scientists, and animals.
Artic Field Party ... images from the NOAA Photo Library and the Artic expedition from 1949 to 1951.
Islands in the Sun ... images from the NOAA Photo Library including north, equatorial, tropical east, and south Pacific islands. Also included are islands in the Atlantic and Caribbean.
