Health Note
HAND WASHING
Students are being reminded about frequent hand washing, covering sneezes and coughs and keeping hands away from faces. Each classroom is being supplied with a pump bottle of Purell, an instant hand sanitizer. This “dry wash” product can be used after a sneeze, or after using a Kleenex. Students and staff are reminded that soap and water are ALWAYS the FIRST CHOICE for hand washing. The Purell is for use when a trip to a sink is not practical.
Certainly after using the bathroom, soap and water hand washing is REQUIRED.
The Vermont Department of Health is supplying us with new hand washing posters which will be distributed throughout the school.
If your child has a fever or a respiratory infection with lots of sneezing, coughing and nasal secretions, please keep the child home.
Thanks in advance for your help in keeping our school population as healthy as possible this winter.
