Emily and Nicholas stand next to "Hulk" the largest pumpkin in the SCS Habitat Garden's Pumpkin Patch.

A contest took place the first two weeks of September .  Students and staff paid 50 cents per guess on the weight of each of the three biggest pumpkins ("Hulk", "Egor" and "Lil' Sis").

On September 12th, each pumpkin's diameter was measured by Kevin Companion (a blue ribbon pumpkin champion) ...

... a formula was used to determine the weight based on the diameter ...

... and winners were announced by Doris Sage (who organized the contest) each given 25% of the money collected with the remainder of the proceeds going to the school for the upkeep of the Habitat Garden ...

and the results?

"Hulk" = 330 pounds, "Igor" = 193 pounds, and "Lil' Sis" = 18 pounds

"Hulk" gets a hug.

Checking out "Egor" and some really big leaves.
