 A contest took place the first two weeks of September . Students and staff paid 50 cents per guess on the weight of each of the three biggest pumpkins ("Hulk", "Egor" and "Lil' Sis"). |

On September 12th, each pumpkin's diameter was measured
by Kevin Companion (a blue ribbon pumpkin champion) ...

... a formula was used to determine the weight based on the diameter ... |

... and winners were announced by Doris Sage (who organized the contest) each given 25% of the money collected with the remainder of the proceeds going to the school for the upkeep of the Habitat Garden ...
and the results? "Hulk" = 330 pounds, "Igor" = 193 pounds, and "Lil' Sis" = 18 pounds |
