We have 10 MIDI centers (piano keyboards connected to computers) in the K-2 music room,  in addition to 10 independent work stations. We use both Macintosh and Pentium computers. We also recovered several older computers, including Apple llGS machines, and several LC 550, and LC 580.  If you have any computers looking for a new home, please contact me. (Mac LCII or later machines, or PC's running at least Windows 95)  Thank you!

Software for older computers include:

Early Music Skills-students are asked to identify whether notes are on lines or in spaces. Different levels ask students the number of the line/space, identify ascending and descending notes, as well as whether notes are moving up or down by steps or skips. I use the first part of this program with my kindergarten students.

Students in first and second grade are learning how to use the Internet for research, and for listening. We have bookmarked some of our favorite sights, and include a link each month on our home page to one of these. Please visit the Shelburne Community School’s K-5 Music Homepage.
