Hinesburg/Shelburne Joint Concert

Please click here to learn more about our upcoming concert, and how our rehearsals will be done through the use of interactive television!

Our Composer of Study is Antonio Vivaldi.   A new fact about Mr. Vivaldi is posted on the bulletin board several times a week.   Students are encouraged to research his life and music, through available resources, including the internet, and contribute facts to the bulletin board.  We will be listening to "Vivaldi's Ring of Mystery,"  a CD by Classical Kids, which combines fiction with history to teach students about this wonderful composer.   Our link of the month will direct you to an appropriate site for more information about Antonio Lucio Vivaldi.  There are musical files to listen to.  Please contact us if you find other interesting links, and we'll include them.

Our Composer of Study in January was Wolfgang Amedeus Mozart.  After listening to "Mozart's Magic Fantasy," one of our first grade students wrote a summary of the opera.  You may read it by going to Sasha's Story.

A sample of our young composers may be heard by going to our MIDI Music Composition page.

Link of the Month: Meet the Composer (Click on "Internet Resources" to locate sound files and other informative sights)
