Technology

All K-2 students reinforced their music skills through the
use of our technology. Kindergarten students used a large canvas floor
staff, and then the Music Ace software
program to practice the lines and spaces of the staff. They enjoy using the "Doodle
Pad" to create songs, as well as the "Jukebox" to listen to the music of
Bach, Beethoven, and other composers. (Please see software resource link at bottom for
more details)

First and second graders concluded their study of George Frederic Handel. They learned how to locate information about his life and music
through the use of the Internet.
Internet Preferences are set to direct the students to our school Homepage. By using
the links on this page, ("The Audition Room") each child can locate and play a
sound file, and find at least one new fact about this amazing composer.
Information found was added to our bulletin board, which became quite full.

Our favorite link: "The
Audition Room." We refer to this link often, as it contains a vast amount
of sound files of the Great Masters of Music. The list is constantly growing, so
please check it often.
