(Fri. July 3 to Fri. July 10 both inclusive)

Picking cherries for Henry Thayer.

Back and forth several times to and from W.Pt and doing whatever had to be done.

Went to station on Sat. 4th and stayed until the next day at 3 p.m. Stone and Twitchell were at Pt.  Stone wanted cherries.

On Friday the 10th Charlie Senna helped clean Stone’s cottage and put out dock and walk.

Had a pleasant day, and did a good job.

Sat. July 11

Yesterday and today and Thursday have been the hot days of the season.

Slept on hay at Senna’s last night and rested well. Helped Charlie do his stint hoeing 4 rows of beans. He came home with me and we took Henry’s boat and tried to find the reef, but failed. We went in bathing and came home. After dinner Charlie had to go home.

At 5 P.M. commenced picking cherries. Stopped for supper and at 8, I had picked a peck, certain. Bert said lightning struck tamarack tree at the corner of Mose Cross’ B. Shop.

After leaving the Point Sunday on my way home, I was taken sick with colic and had a hard time of it all night. Slept on hay with the boys, only didn’t sleep much.

Haven’t felt a bit well all this week and tonight my back aches terribly + I feel about played out.   9:20 P.M. Hope Charlie will come to help me pick cherries tomorrow.
