Tess and I went up to her home. I went to Uncle Reubes’s and back and took supper at Tess’s mothers, and then came home and stopping at Frank Gilmore to get a colony of cider bees. To make them work put about a tablespoonful of bees into a two quart glass can, one tablespoon of sugar, one tablespoon of molasses, and fill with water, add a teaspoon of sugar every morning for a week, then strain off and start again as at first. After the strained liquid has stood two or three days, it is ready to drink. Have a headache tonight and have had it since noon.
