Adding French (or another) Language to Windows 95, 98, 2000, and XP

To add French Characters to Microsoft Office documents, the Microsoft Office Language settings must first be set in Windows.  Here is how to change the settings. 

Click on the Start button.

Click on Programs.

Click on Microsoft Office Tools.

Click on Microsoft Office Language Settings.

Scroll down the language list and click on French (you can also choose other languages if desired).

Click OK.  You will need to restart Windows for the added language to work.
