Adventurers Team

  What about Adventurers Field trips
             and Class excursions?

The Adventurers Team firmly believes in getting out of the classroom on trips to enhance the learning that takes place at school. These memorable experiences are significant and enduring learning opportunities.

Some of our trips in recent years have included:
 - Green Mountain Audubon Center        - Vermont Institute of Natural Science
 - Shelburne Museum                             - Echo Science Center
- Flynn Theatre                                     - International Craft Festival
 - Granby Zoo                                        - Shelburne Village tour
 - Shelburne Farms                                 - Beaver pond
- Mount Philo,                                         - Snake Mountain
 - Montreal BioDome                                - Museum of Art
 - Shelburne Orchards                             - Miskell’s Greenhouse
- Catamount x-country Ski Center             - Wake Robin
-  Dead Creek Wildlife Refuge                   - Chimney Point Museum

In order for these trips to occur, we often call upon parents to help with the transportation, as the cost of the busses is prohibitive. Parents can drive and go home, or drive and chaperone, enjoying the adventure along with the kids. We have booster seats for all students, as state law requires.
The financing of these excursions is not covered by our classroom budget and therefore we must rely on fund raising events.
