What is "Choice Time"?

 "Choice Time" is an opportunity for Adventurers to make responsible choices independently, develop successful social/interaction skills with classmates. This might include  imaginative play in the dress up area or kitchen area, creative expression, quiet games,  construction with blocks and legos etc, drawing, and other independent art projects,. some activities are also available on the computer including some carefully chosen educational games, selective internet use is an option with teacher approval.  Other applications include Accelerated Reader, Lexia,  MathFacts, GraphClub, Scratch.
    At some point during the week each student is expected to complete the weekly challenge, the weekly art activity visit the science table, and make an estimate for the estimating jar. There is a sign-off sheet for each of these to show that s/he has completed all of the these.

Note:   If a student has incomplete work for math, literacy or any outstanding homework, s/he is expected to finish it before having choicetime.
