The following are links to SCS student work published on the SCS web page. Some are actual web pages created by students, the rest are compiled by teachers showcasing student work.
Alphabet Book ... project by Mrs. Hansen's Harmony Haven 1st and 2nd grade students using Hyperstudio to create an alphabet book then converted to PDF files (December, 2006).
Adventurers Team ... on-going work done by this K-1-2 team maintained by Joplin James.
Albert Hunter Interactive Journal ... a transcription by students of Albert Hunter's journal who was a lighthouse keeper for the Colchester Reef on Lake Champlain during the late 1800's and early 1900's. Web site posted by Jeff Hindes and Sutton House 8th grade students (ongoing since spring 2003).
Art Show, K-2 1997 ... selected art works from a year-ending art show (spring, 1997).
Art Show, K-5, 1998 ... selected art works from a year-ending art show (spring, 1998).
Aurora - Ecology Project ... 3-4-5 grade students created posters and brochures as they studied ecosystems, habitats, and the food chain with a focus on Lake Champlain in Vermont (fall, 2004).
Basic Human Needs ... 7th grade Sutton House Team student web pages based unit developed by Jeff Hindes (fall, 2001 and 2002).
Beyond Infinity ... Alpha students (grades 6-8) post information from a theme unit of study on the Earth (fall, 2002).
Birds ... 1st and 2nd grade Explorers Team students projects on birds compiled and posted by their teachers Gretchen Garvey and Karin Clarke (winter, 2007).
Birds ... 1st and 2nd grade Explorers Team students art and written work regarding Vermont birds compiled and posted by their teacher Gretchen Garvey (spring, 2001).
Electronic Circuits ... 6th and 7th grade Delta Team students, with teacher Lisa Phelps, develop web pages based on classroom projects including video clips (spring 2002).
Fairy Tales ... 1st and 2nd graders in the Explorer team with Ms. Fradette developed character sketches as part of a Fairy Tale unit with the program Inspiration ®. The files were then converted to a webpage format (winter, 2003).
Food Alphabet ... Kindergarten students of Mrs. Hazen and Mrs. Kendrick created an alphabet book related to food for their nutrition unit using Kid Pix (spring, 2003).
Geology ... 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade Aurora Team students art and written work regarding a geology unit compiled and posted by their teachers Sharon Wight and Pam Cyr (fall, 2001).
Japan ... 1st and 2nd grade Harmony Haven Team students art and written work regarding a study of Japan compiled and posted by their teacher Deb Dinsmore (winter, 2002).
Light and Sound ... 4th and 5th graders document a physical science unit by the Odyssey Team (winter, 2002).
Kindergarten Stories ... Kindergarten students in Rue Kendrick's Harmony Haven class created a short story then published their writing using Kidpix. The Kidpix files were then exported to a short movie format (spring, 2005).
MIDI Compositions (1 and 2 grades) ... 1st and 2nd grade students work with their teacher, Diana Burritt, to create and publish music compositions on the web (spring, 2001 to date).
MIDI Compositions (3-5 grades) ... 3, 4, and 5th grades students work with their teacher, Danielle Trasciatti, to create and publis music compositions on the web (spring 2003).
Native American Projects ... 2nd grade Hyperstudio projects converted to PDF of Native American Indian Tribes created by Mrs. Meyette's Rainbow 2nd grade students (December, 2006).
Nutrition ... Harmony Haven teachers Rue Kendrick and Amy Hazen posted Kid Pix creations by their Kindergarten students related to their study of nutrition (spring, 2003).
Odyssey Space ... 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade students worked in collaborative groups to research space related topics then created web pages representing their findings including a make-believe planet, sun, moon or famous astronomer. Web page maintained by Shannon Baird (spring, 2005).
Pioneers ... 8th grade Delta Team Students track their progress through a classroom simulation with teacher Richard Carlson, teacher made web page (spring, 2002).
Plant Cycle ... 1st and 2nd grade students in Gretchen Garvey's Explorers class studied the growth of plants from seeds to shoots then created a short slide show using Kidpix to illustrate this process. The KidPix files were then converted to a short movie (spring, 2005).
Shelburne History Project ... 3 and 4 grade students on the Endeavor Team studied the history of Shelburne through the town's architecture. Artwork and interesting facts are described on this page created by Mrs. Cenis (spring 2002).
Stories Published By Students ... 1st grade students in Mrs. Peake's Rainbow Team class created then read their stories. The text and a short video clip of students reading their work are found here.
State Fair ... 4th and 5th graders document a United States geography unit by the Odyssey Team (winter, 2002).
UNICEF ... 2nd grade Hyperstudio projects, examples are in a PDF format and were created by Mrs. Meyette's Rainbow Team 2nd grade students (October, 2006).
