The following excerpt is from the Vermont National Voter Registration Application Form (including the Freeman's Oath):
In signing the application, you are stating that you meet the requirements for registering to vote in Vermont. These are that you:
are a citizen of the United States are a resident of Vermont will be at least 18 years old by the election solemnly swear to or affirm the following "Freeman's Oath" found in Chapter II, section 42 of the Vermont Constitution: that "whenever you give your vote or suffrage, touching any matter that concerns the state of Vermont, you will do it so as in your conscience you shall judge will most conduce to the best good of the same, as established by the Constitution, without fear of favor of any person"
