Myers. Fallen Angels
Very good details. I liked how they described the Vietnam War. The whole book had a lot of action.

Napoli. Stones in Water
After being taken by German soldiers from a local movie theater along with other Italian boys including his Jewish friend, Roberto is forced to work in Germany, escapes into the Ukrainian winter, before desperately trying to make his way back home to Venice.

Ryan. Esperanza Rising
A story about the author's grandmother who's father, a wealthy Mexican landowner, was killed by bandits. Esperanza and her mother fled Mexico and settled in a farm labor camp in California during the 1930s.
I love that when you're reading and some of the words are in English and some are in Spanish. Hallie C.
